Something Blue
Something Blue by hipmomof6 featuring zipper jeans
I so love basics like denim with cream or white, and letting the accessories dictate the level of chicness. I guess that's why I am in the jewelry biz. Besides the fact that the Burberry sandals are TDF, I love the pops of lapis blue. A perfect spring outfit, which for me is one of the most challenging seasons to dress for. It's the blue in the jewels that help transform the outfit's season. A tone of blue I am so into lately and hope to see more of.

Turquoise and Gold
Turquoise and Gold by hipmomof6 featuring open toe heels
I so love the combo of turquoise and gold. It seems almost unexpected yet so natural. I also must be dreaming about summer and warmth, because the above pics have me wishing for a tan and an umbrella drink. What a chic and fabulous combo, especially when paired with white!
Here are some PLRG pieces that I love for a similar statement!

Style Icon!
One of my favorite TV shows is the Mary Tyler Moore Show. I am not sure if it's because the show was that good, or if it was because I felt like I was watching a super cool fashion show.
I mean every chick on that show was dressed fabulously. From Cloris' chic slim fitting turtlenecks and to die for high boots, to Rhoda's Boho cool head scarves and gypsy like accessories to Mary's rockin' neck scarves and fitted blazers, I loved them all! The stylist on that show was a fashion genius! But let the pictures speak for themselves!

It's Funny How 2 Little Letters Can Make Most Women ...
Why is it most women are fascinated with Chanel? No matter what decade of design from this amazing designer one favors, they are all super chic and seem to have a common thread... fabulousness! I am particularly fond of the 90's when Mr. Karl Largerfeld took the lead. I think I relate in particular to that time because that is when I recognized my true love of all things fashion! I loved that you could turn any page of Vogue and find Christy, Claudia or Naomi dolled up in couture, and usually Chanel. (I also loved the 90's because they used Supermodels on the covers of fashion magazines.)
Chanel for me is the design house that directs all fashion trends, from the classic to the funky! As I sit here with my baby on my lap typing away in my slippers and jeans (vintage Calvin's, if that makes it any better) I look forward to the day I find that perfect Chanel piece to add to my wardrobe. Which I must say as of late is more like a museum collection gathering dust.
In the meantime I can still look through my mags, use my must have Lucky stickers, and know someday I too will own and wear those two letters!

Changes for 2012
As some of you may know, I have been selling some wonderful vintage items at my little shop at the Wexford General Store. While selecting these little fabulous treasures, I was coming across some really interesting pieces of vintage jewelry. This inspired me to create my own collection of jewelry...that I must say is also pretty fabulous! And since I have always had an obsession with fashion this should be a perfect venture!
I will be selling these fab pieces on this blog, and via my Etsy Shop, Poor Little Rich Girl Studio. I will also have the occasional trunk show which should be super fun! So stop back soon for more details and to view many of the chic items for sale!
