Is It Wrong...

to force your kids to share a room so you can have a fabulous walk in closet?  I guess if you have to ask, it is.  And since I try to be a good mom, for now I will have to dream.

I am in love with the jewelry nook above.  Can you even imagine?  I can!

It's Funny How 2 Little Letters Can Make Most Women ...

Why is it most women are fascinated with Chanel?  No matter what decade of design from this amazing designer one favors, they are all super chic and seem to have a common thread... fabulousness!  I am particularly fond of the 90's when Mr. Karl Largerfeld took the lead.  I think I relate in particular to that time because that is when I recognized my true love of all things fashion!  I loved that you could turn any page of  Vogue and find Christy, Claudia or Naomi dolled up in couture, and usually Chanel.  (I also loved the 90's because they used Supermodels on the covers of fashion magazines.)

Chanel for me is the design house that directs all fashion trends, from the classic to the funky!  As I sit here with my baby on my lap typing away in my slippers and jeans (vintage Calvin's, if that makes it any better) I look forward to the day I find that perfect Chanel piece to add to my wardrobe.  Which I must say as of late is more like a museum collection gathering dust.

In the meantime I can still look through my mags, use my must have Lucky stickers, and know someday I too will own and wear those two letters!

Channeling Chanel

I love everything Chanel!  But who doesn't?  I especially find myself loving many of the pieces from the collections of the 90's... the chunky gold chains, the pearl charms and large sparkly crystals and gems!  And that is what inspired the following pieces.

The above piece is 26" around.  It is $35 and available on my Etsy shop.  Or you can email directly for purchase and I will send you a Paypal invoice.

The above bracelet is one of my favorites!  It is 8" long with a heavy weight gold chain.  $45.  Available on Etsy or send me an email.  Check back for more pieces from my collection.  Thanks for looking!

Changes for 2012

As some of you may know, I have been selling some wonderful vintage items at my little shop at the Wexford General Store.  While selecting these little fabulous treasures, I was coming across some really interesting pieces of vintage jewelry.  This inspired me to create my own collection of jewelry...that I must say is also pretty fabulous!  And since I have always had an obsession with fashion this should be a perfect venture!

I will be selling these fab pieces on this blog, and via my Etsy Shop, Poor Little Rich Girl Studio.  I will also have the occasional trunk show which should be super fun!  So stop back soon for more details and to view many of the chic items for sale!

New Space for Poor Little Rich Girl Antiques

So I decided to take a risk and move to a larger, which means more rent, but more visible space in the antique shop.  So far so good.  No, I am not going to get rich from this, but it is a fun hobby that so far has made me a little bit of extra cash and lets me shop for fun goodies!

I have to say that I am a bit surprised that certain pieces did not fly out of the store.  I try to price my merchandise so that it  is affordable to the average buyer.  As you can see in some of the pics I have gorgeous french inspired benches some great shabby pieces mixed with classic antiques.  That pale green dresser with attached mirror above it is only $60.  It is solid wood and an amazing deal.  Can't you picture it as a bathroom vanity with a vessel sink on top.  Perfection!

And the shabby rocker above with the classic black and white toile.  Perfect for a baby's room or a sunporch!

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas!

It's been a while since I have blogged! I have been busy with the shop, which I am so loving. I am finally getting it to where I would like it, but there is always more to do. I had to share these pictures of what my space is looking like for the Christmas Season. The Wexford General Store, where I have my space, is having their annual Christmas Open House Dec. 5. Details will be provided soon.

The pots above are perfect for hostess gifts! At $5 a piece they are a steal!

I love this gorgeous, vintage Christmas place settings! Two are available for that perfect and romantic holiday meal.

Another great gift, the burlap tote. Only $15. Can you say perfect teacher gift!

Only November and I can already feel the Christmas spirit!
